Role Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical leadership across electrical engineering projects, from initial enquiry and design through to construction, commissioning, and energisation. The role involves working primarily on M&E installations with opportunities to gain experience in transmission and distribution projects up to 400kV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and update design and as-built drawings for high and low voltage electrical systems.
- Liaise and coordinate with design teams, contractors, and project teams on technical and commercial matters.
- Develop O&M manuals, method statements, risk assessments, and project schedules.
- Carry out quality control inspections, snagging, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare technical documentation for tenders, construction, and contract variations.
- Conduct cable sizing, lighting calculations, and electrical services coordination.
- Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and electrical design standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and graduates.
Requirements:
- 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering design/project management for industrial installations.
- Knowledge of HV and MV network requirements, energy management systems, and automated control systems integration.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Process-driven with strong focus on EHS, quality management, and documentation.
