Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team for a major Hyperscale Data Centre project in Groningen. You will work within a supportive and ambitious team, where your ideas and contributions will be valued. This role reports directly to the Commercial Lead for the project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Validate tender documents following the award of the project with the Project Manager/Director.
  • Assist in the preparation of project CCS by analysing tender and project requirements.
  • Prepare cash flow projections by analysing the timing of billings and costs.
  • Compile monthly reports in accordance with the company’s standard procedures.
  • Conduct site measurements with the Construction and Planning Teams as required by contractual procedures.
  • Ensure the timely submission of claims and notices in line with contract provisions.
  • Identify and highlight areas of concern related to contract costs, sales, and contributions.
  • Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.
  • Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence in consultation with the Project Manager/Director.
  • Determine if material purchases are within scope or constitute variations to the budget.
  • Manage client invoicing, including submission of invoices and tracking of payments.
  • Administer payments to subcontractors and suppliers by reviewing submissions against their contracts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Financial Department on project reporting and financial matters.
  • Resolve disputes related to client and subcontractor issues.
  • Prepare reports on commercial and contractual issues for Project and Commercial Managers.
  • Monitor site procurement through regular reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
  • Working towards chartership or professional Quantity Surveying certification is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical Systems.
  • Experience with Data Centre projects is advantageous but not essential.

  • Developing CAD/design drawings for clients and asset owners.
  • Undertaking other reasonable tasks as required by management.
